3Nice, but very tall and below average quality control  Aug 11, 2010
I am returning this watch because while I expected it to be large, I did not expect it to be so tall - it is twice as tall as my other watches. The crown is so thick because it contains the timex alarm setting mechanism, and that adds a lot of height. So be warned - it's tall enough to catch on things, to cause a lump in a shirt cuff, etc.

Also, neither the second hand for the chronograph nor the minute hand line up where they should, indicating a problem with quality control. I like Timex, but I'll try another model, this time without the dial alarm settings.

1Time's out for Timex  Aug 11, 2010
I can remember when Timex watches stood for quality and dependability. After years of trying to save money on cheaper watches that I replaced about every year, I decided to take a chance on a slightly-more-expensive Timex model that the clerk assured me would outlast the cheaper ones. Wrong. The Timex watch started losing time in just a few weeks, and, what's worse, the Timex repair center charged $10 (supposedly for shipping a one-ounce item) and apparently didn't do a thing since the watch still lost several minutes each day from the time it was returned to me. When the $40 Timex lasts half as long and offers no better warranty than the $15 Wal-Mart knockoffs, it's got to be a sign of the end of time for Timex.

2Timex T-42351  Aug 10, 2010
Well, you must have read all the reviews but i wanted to post mine. After reading reviews with lesser stars i delayed the purchase by 2 months. I got it ultimately on 8/09 after placing the order. Going straight to the watch - it is the second best watch after my Tissot T0114171203100 T-Race Chronograph. I wanted something as elegant and masculine as my Tissot and i found it on Amazon.

I used the chronograph functions and they work fine contrary to the reviews.

The second's hand is not second's hand per say so it may have confused many.

The strap is not like STEEL as few of the users reported (it is little stiff though and that's it)

You can set indiglow glowing time (after beep).

I say, this would be a very good purchase and i would recommend it to any one. In case if you still feel indecisive, go to the physical watch store, have a look and feel and then place the order on Amazon (amazing service). The only thing I am waiting on is the life of the battery and how long will it go smiling....good luck.

UPDATE - 9/8/10 (I gave 5 stars initially but now changing them to 2).

I recently have noticed some thing that i thought would be helpful to others. There is a HUGE MOVEMENT ERROR in this watch. It goes like this...

This watch has Alarm function apart from being a chronograph watch. The movement settings of the needles are HUGELY out of sync. I noticed that the hour hand of the alarm function hits the hour hand of the watch BIG TIME. While setting the alarm, the hour hand (alarm function) comes right in path of hour hand of watch and collide "YES COLLIDE". The same would SPRING back to normal (?) after it would be released from collision from hour hand of watch.

Initially i thought it was needle's reflection but when i saw it in another (brand new) watch, I got confirmed. I have taken photographs and would be posting them as well for an understanding. I am surprised how come a company like Timex can set watches' movement so unprofessionally, so immaturely?

5Great Watch  Aug 10, 2010
I needed a replacement bang around watch after I broke my Invicta and this one looked perfect. I work nights so I really wanted a watch I can read in the dark and this watch works well for that. The band is a bit cheap but since I wanted to replace it with a MARATAC anyway it's not a big deal.

4Nice looking watch  Jul 22, 2010
I just got this watch, looks more expensive. What I didn't like about it, is was the white tachymeter engrave, it is too bright, so I simply painted it black, now looks great. Overall I'm very impressed.
